Personal Stress Management

Stress is nature’s way of helping us deal with difficult situations. However, in our modern lives, our natural responses in stressful situations are no longer necessarily appropriate, we do not need the strength to fight a bear or the speed to escape a cheetah.

We live in a  period of extreme change. Many of us will find it challenging and exciting whilst others may see it as a time of confusion, anxiety or loss of control.

The art of stress management is to keep yourself at a level of stimulation that is healthy and enjoyable- to create a balance of positive and negative stress that will motivate but not overwhelm you.

Personal Stress Management is designed to promote a positive approach to managing stress. It will help you to have a better understanding of what stress is and how it affects you as an individual. It equips you with some simple coping skills and relaxation techniques that you can use in your everyday life to help you to manage your stress better.

The sessions are designed to be enjoyable and can be learned rapidly to enable you to take a greater control over your own life.

Personal Wellbeing

In our busy and fragmented world we often forget about our health and well-being.

This is a practical course giving general advice and discussion on personal well-being, diet, exercise, relaxation techniques etc.

Organisational Stress Management

In any one day round 270,000 people are absent from work through stress related illness, this costs about 7 billion annually in the U.K. Whilst people work well under a degreee of pressure, stress is an entirely negative situation and creates a reduction in people’s performance both in the short and long term. Giving guidance to managers and employees on the understanding of stress and how to proactively prevent and manage it for themselves and their workgroups is a step towards managing costly concern within the workplace.

We recognise the need for training that will give your business real benefits, this will help staff to be more positive and increase productivity and turnover.

All our training is designed to suit your individual requirements. We recommend that we carry out a risk assesment for workplace stress as this helps to identify the problem areas and to design a training package that suits you.
